For XML validation do we need to define separate XSD or if we are selecting the check in ICO on Adapter it will validate the request coming to PI.

The exception raised because of XML validation will also be available in alert raised, if an alert rule is defined for that interface.

When we are using XML validation in ICO and if date parameter is defined in request structure as non mandatory field and if we are passing blank then its throwing exception saying invalid format.

>>That's how XML validation works, i mean that optional field is of type "date" and if that field is present then it should be of correct date format (and not blank).
