Re: Substitution rule needs to take priority over OKB9 in deriving the C.Centre

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your inputs...

Query

May I know when material is consumed, why system is not considering the Material Master's profit centre , instead its proritizing the profit centre, that is derived from the OKC9 Cost Centre master - Please refer Scenario A & B Below.

In other words, when I am consuming a material , intially profit centre is derived from material master. However it appears,  system is not looking at the initial profit centre derived from material master, but its looking at the profit centre derived from OKB9 Cost Centre and then looking into the substitution rule.

For your clear understanding of the scenario , I have mentioned complete test scenario.

Your valuable inputs are highly appreciated.

A. Substitution Rule

Pre Requisite

G/L IN COGS_SET  AND Profit Centre (ref note2 below) = '1010') AND Plant = '1010'

Subsititution if prequisite is met

Field          is substituted by

Cost Centre    Costant Value         1011

BScenario Where Substitution is not working

B1.Material = 100000 and the Plant = 1010; and this material master has Profit Centre 1010

B2.OKB9 - C.Element 714911, Business Area - 1010, Val Area - 1010 = C.Centre 1010

B3. Cost Centre Master 1010 has Profit Centre 1011

B4. OKC9 - C.Element 714911

B5.Logic of deriving Profit Centre and substituting

Step 1

Now when Goods are issued/consumed ( Mateial 100000, Plant 1010; Bus Area 1010) , system is intially deriving the cost centre 1010 and thereby obtaining profit centre 1011 from the derivied Cost Centre Master 1010.

Step2

After deriving the profit centre 1011 from Cost Centre Master, system is then looking into OKC9.

Since the fetched profit centre -1010  from Cost Centre Master is Not equal to  the given

profit centre 1011 in substitution rule,  system is not susbtituting OKB9 derived cost centre 1010 to OKC9 Cost Centre 1011.

C.Scenario Where Substitution is working

C1.Material = 100000 and the Plant = 1010; and this material master has Profit Centre 1010

C2.OKB9 - C.Element 714911, Business Area - 1011, Val Area - 1011 = C.Centre 1012

C3. Cost Centre Master 1012 has Profit Centre 1010

C4.Logic of deriving Profit Centre and substituting

Step 1

Now when Goods are issued/consumed ( Mateial 100000, Plant 1011; Bus Area 1011) , system is intially deriving the cost centre 1012 and thereby obtaining profit centre 1010 from C.Centre Master 1012.

After deriving the profit centre 1010 from Cost Centre Master, system is then looking into OKC9.

Since the fetched profit centre -1010  from Cost Centre Master is equal to  the given Profit Centre 1010 in Substitution rule, system is susbtituting cost centre from 1012 to 1011.

Regards

Sanjai
