I don't think there is any way to do this. This is mostly viewed as a productivity feature to help people quickly get more information the referenced object without clicking into it. If you are using the HTML5 client I would suggest looking at the performance of javascript in your browser as there might be some add-ins that are sucking up resources (don't quote me on that though since I am not that technical
