Hi,
I have a business requirement as below.
For any Item that is A(28 days),B(90 days) or C (365 days), if there is no movement transaction in past 12 months, business wants to skip the counting for this item. They don't want to switch the ABC indicator for these items because that doesn't solve their issue of "unnecessary" cycle counting.
Ex if an item has 100 pieces but not sold frequently so they sit there month after month, but since they are A items ( based on the consumption and demand and not easy to get from vendor if needed urgently etc), it gets proposed every month with standard MICN batch job. There are many items like that where the time is wasted repeatedly in counting them knowing for fact, it hasn't moved from the shelf for months.
So the question is - is there any way to put the logic not to create the phys doc if there is no movement transaction happened for this item within past 12 months ( user exit). If not what's the best way to handle it? I know MICN looks for previous cycle count date on the most current physical document so it will always expect to have a new PID based on the ABC indicator.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
DK
