Thomas is a good customer of my, I was working on this issue actually. I checked the standard input fields, table formatting and anything else what could help us in the theme editor. If update some of the formatting settings I notice appropriate differences in the portal theme while rendering, for example background colors of activated fields on standard iViews are changing. I want to say customizing of the theme works in general well. But I was not able to find the apporpiate setting for the desired fields.
The strange thing about this issue is, if Im switching to the class alias I can see different formatting, means exact what we want to do. I know the AJAX and classic themes have differences in the structurual composition and are not comparable at all, but I assumed this must also be included in the AJAX theme.
I have debugged CSS in affected iView and found out coupIe of things:
- I can see active and inactive input fields have different CSS classes
- it seems the class we need to change is .urST3WhlBrd (strange: Brd = border?)
- the formatting is coming from the ur of the customer theme, thats allright so far
I have also tryed to find the desired value in the ur descriptor of unpacked theme directly, but miserably failed. Since the chips are down, the only solution seems to be to modify the CSS files on the fs of EP directly, but thats dirty and we would like to avoid that. Do you have any clues please?
Thomas, good idea to ask here, sorry I have should done it myself. Saar is a very competent and reliable counterpart on SDN and he have an idea for sure. He rescued me more when one time
