We are working on a HR Renewal 1.0 FP4 based system. We are using NWBC 4.0 PL5(now that really matters for this issue). We are using UI5 based ESS and MSS. We have configured UI5 based Approval service with relevant configuration with Gateway services configuration. So we can see workflow tasks coming though now.
Now we are looking at Substitution functionality and how this will work with Approval service and other MSS services like Workforce Viewer, My team etc. We did create a substitution rule and tried to test this impact but there was no additional UI5 based access available to substitute manager.
For WDA based MSS, there is a separate role "Manager Self Service Substitution ",which allows access to team and related services for assigned team. While using usual/standard MSS role, user can still access his/her normal team and related services.
So i wonder if such functionality has been delivered as part of UI5 offering.
As per help reference Manager Self-Service (SAPUI5) - SAP Library, there is no specific mention if UI5 based MSS should/will be accessible to substituted manager.
